Councillor Brad Butt spoke to the restoration and use of the building.

    That the request to alter the heritage designated property at 271 Queen Street South (Ward 11), as outlined in the Corporate Report dated January 13, 2025, from the Commissioner of Community Services be approved.

Chair Butt read out to the motion that the Heritage Advisory Committee Members will be attending the 2025 Orientation session here in Council Chambers right after the adjournment of the Heritage Advisory Committee.

WHEREAS the Municipal Act, 2001, as amended (the "Act"), requires Council to pass a resolution prior to closing part of a meeting to the public;

AND WHEREAS the Act requires that the resolution states the act of the holding of the closed meeting and the general nature of the matter to be considered at the closed meeting;

NOW THEREFORE be it resolved that a portion of the Heritage Advisory Committee meeting held on February 11, 2025 shall be closed to the public to deal with the following matters:

(Pursuant to Section 239(2) of the Municipal Act, 2001)
