A. Ngan spoke to the Forestry Service Update. Item 10.1 was moved up for discussion. Councillor J. Horneck spoke to the new system and the importance of communicating the key information to the public including the due date. Further, Councillor J. Horneck encouraged staff to work towards sharing the data with the public through avenues such as news letters and events to spread awareness. A. Ngan spoke to the communications process and noted staff work collaboratively with Strategic Communications to ensure information is shared effectively.

Councillor C. Fonseca spoke in support of the progress and working towards educating the public on the improved timeline of the removal and replacement of trees. In response to Councillor S. Dasko, A. Ngan spoke to the timing of the communication roll out regarding the website. In response to Councillor D. Damerla, Diana Rusnov, City Clerk and Director of Legislative Services confirmed that city projects are allowed to be advertised by Mayoral Candidates.
