Councillor S. Dasko, Chair called the meeting to order at 9:33 AM.

Councillor S. Dasko, Chair, recited the Indigenous Land Statement.

E. Warsh and C. Nguyen-Pham provided background information and spoke to the subject matter. In response to Michael Matic, Citizen Member, E. Warsh spoke to possibly working with the Board of Trade to communicate with logistics companies to share messaging. 

In response to Councillor McFadden, E. Warsh noted coordination is being done with Active Transportation regarding escooters and communication related to speed limits and pedestrian safety.

In response to Councillor S. Dasko, C. Nguyen-Pham spoke to providing messaging to members of Council to share with their constituents regarding the end of school year safety communications.

R. Pennington presented an update regarding the installation of a Vision Zero memorial at the Streetsville Cemetary. Further R. Pennington spoke to the location selection process and rationale. Councillor S. McFadden and Anne Marie Hayes, Resident spoke in support. In response to comments made by A. M. Hayes regarding raising awareness, R. Pennington spoke to tactics for educating the public to raise awareness. Councillor J. Horneck spoke in support of the location and noted the Committee can assist with engagement and educating the public.

Members of the Road Safety Committee (RSC) engaged in a discussion with respect to the revisions to the RSC Terms of Reference. 

Detective, Greg O'Connor, Peel Regional Police, Intelligence Services Commercial Auto Crime spoke to the role of his unit and noted the Road Safety Services unit is best suited to aid in the Road Safety Committee. 

In response to Councillor S. McFadden, Anne Marie Hayes, Resident and Councillor S. Dasko spoke to the inclusion of "auto thefts" in the Terms of Reference. Councillor S. McFadden, Councillor S. Dasko and Councillor M. Reid spoke to receiving presentations and obtaining information from the Road Safety Services unit from the Peel Regional Police as it is available or required. Abdul M. Mohammed, Resident and Michael Matic, Resident spoke in support. 

In response to A. M. Mohammed, Councillor S. Dasko spoke to providing Allyson D'Ovidio, Legislative Coordinator with more information about the Ontario Traffic Council.

Allyson D'Ovidio, Legislative Coordinator spoke the renewal of the Canadian Association of Road Safety Professionals (CARSP) annual membership.

Councillor S. Dasko spoke to the statistics provided and noted due to a system update, a breakdown of statistics are not available. 

Michael Matic, Citizen Member spoke about a community ride for Cancer that he participated and spoke to the Police support of the ride and the success of the event. Further, M. Matic spoke to Mississauga considering being a starting point in the World Cup and to his personal fund raising.
