Edward Nicolucci, Urban Designer, regarding the Mississauga Green Development Standards (GDS) Update

Edward Nicolucci, Urban Designer spoke to the Mississauga Green Development Standards (GDS) Update.

Councillor Tedjo, thanked Mr. Nicolucci for the update and enquired about voluntary standards, benchmarking of other municipalities and implementation. Mr. Nicolucci responded to Councillor Tedjo's enquiry.

Alice Casselman, Community Group Representative enquired about green space around the buildings and encouraged collecting data regarding the building code.

Councillor Mahoney enquired about the incentive program that the City of Toronto offers to builders. Mr. Nicolucci responded to the enquiry from Councillor Mahoney.

Gaby Kalapos, Executive Director, Clean Air Partnership spoke to the Green Development Standards: Value Proposition and Driving the Net Zero Market.

Alice Casselman, Community Group Representative spoke to the importance of data and to the planting of trees and continued tree planting.
