    • Item 9.4 - Port Credit Heritage Conservation District Subcommittee Recommendation Report 1 - 2025 - dated March 3, 2025.

Councillor S. Dasko spoke in favour of the report and location for the exhibit.  

Committee Members inquired about the length of time the exhibit would be installed and were advised by John Dunlop, Manager, Indigenous Relations, Heritage and Museums that the exhibit would be temporary, however the longevity of the exhibit would be examined.  Further, J. Dunlop noted other locations for the exhibit with the main exhibit in Mississauga.

John Dunlop, Manager, Indigenous Relations, Heritage and Museums spoke to the Recommendation Report and noted that a report regarding the new build would be brought to the April meeting of the Heritage Advisory Committee.

    That the memorandum from John Dunlop, Manager, Indigenous Relations, Museums and Heritage, entitled “Proposed New Dwelling at Heritage Designated Property at 7060 Old Mill Lane (Ward 11),” dated February 12, 2025, be approved on the condition that the house is moved closer to the street, the windows within the dormers are changed to six over six to align with the heritage characteristics of the area and the front porch is increased by .5 metres.

John Dunlop, Manager, Indigenous Relations, Heritage and Museums spoke to the passing of the appeal period for the Streetsville Heritage Conservation District By-law and noted that there were no appeals.  Further, J. Dunlop advised Committee Members that the By-law would now be in effect and staff would be moving forward to have it fully implemented.

Committee Members spoke to the Streetsville Heritage Conservation District and noted changes of property use along Queen Street.
