David Ferro, Development Planner provided an overview of the Official Plan Amendment and Rezoning applications. Councillor P. Mullin enquired about the traffic impact study and noted concerns with the density of the proposed development. Lin Rogers, Manager, Transportation Projects and Mr. Ferro responded to questions.
The following persons spoke:
- Gillian Flynn, Resident noted concerns with the proposed height and the planned tree removal.
- Chris Mackie, Resident noted concerns with density and parking. Mr. Mackie further noted that 13 storeys and an FSI of no more than 4.0 should be the maximum for this location.
- Roman Tsap, Edenshaw Developments Limited advised that Edenshaw Developments Limited believes that the proposed development can be accommodated with minimal impact to existing properties.
Councillor S. Dasko noted concerns with the height, lack of parking, and that affordable units were not mentioned. Councillor S. Dasko further requested that the applicant reevaluate their application and use a more collaborative approach with the community and planning staff to come up with a workable proposal.
Councillor C. Parrish noted that the applicant had been very consultative for past developments and noted concerns for the present proposal.
