Colin Patterson, Manager, Traffic Services & Road Safety spoke to the design and purpose of the "Please Slow Down" lawn signs. Councillor Dasko directed staff to bring this matter forward to the Road Safety Committee for review. Members of the Committee engaged in a discussion with respect to reconstituting the Road Safety Promotional Subcommittee to address promotional items and projects.
Robert Fluney, Citizen Member enquired about the role of the School Boards with respect to distributing the lawn signs. David King, Citizen Member spoke to possible new slogans such as "what is the hurry"? Brant Thompson, Citizen Member spoke to considering a pilot program to engage schools in sign distribution. Councillor Kovac spoke to partnering with the School Boards.

Councillor Dasko directed Allyson D'Ovidio, Legislative Coordinator to email the Peel Public School Board and Dufferin-Peel Catholic District School Board to enquire if they would be interested in collaborating on the "Please Slow Down" lawn signs.
Laura Zeglen, Vision Zero Program Lead, spoke to an upcoming presentation on Vision Zero and slow down signs being one of the many works that are being done.
Councillor Dasko spoke to previous discussions about a Road Safety Mascot and would like to bring this matter back at a future meeting.
