John Dunlop, Manager, Heritage Planning and Indigenous Relations discussed concerns regarding design drawings in the revised Heritage Impact Assessment on page 28. Mr. Dunlop further requested that the word "equivalent" be removed in reference to the siding being shiplap or board and batten as the word "equivalent" is not specific and staff require a firm understanding of what they will see there.
Antoine Musiol, Chair discussed with staff the direction of the siding, the setback of the garage and massing.
Mr. Dunlop discussed approval options with the Subcommittee and advised that timelines are tight for the report to go to November HAC the final designs need to be submitted by October 15th.
Subcommittee Members discussed the placement and setback of the garage as well as design options of a detached or attached garage.
Mr. Dunlop advised the Subcommittee Members that there are three issues for clarification being the materials on the exterior, final garage design and recommended that there be two recommendations to demolish and the conditional approval of the design change in time for the Heritage Advisory Committee meeting in November.
