Councillor Parrish inquired about the Grand Highland Golf Course and the Indigenous dig and was advised by staff that consultations would be underway with the Indigenous communities in late summer.
Committee members commended the unveiling of the Joyce Furman plaque installation.
11.1 Rattray Marsh Plaque Commemoration
Dave Cook, Vice Chair moved a motion to have a plaque installed at the Rattray Marsh commemorating the 1974 Council Members and Citizen Members who purchased and conserved the Marsh. Committee members voted to approve the installation of a plaque and discussed potential location and wording as well as signage that would list the Council Members and Citizen Members involved in the conservation as well as the history and images of the day of this purchase.
