Councillor Brad Butt, Chair called the meeting to order at 9:30 AM

Councillor Brad Butt, Chair recited the Indigenous Land Statement.

Chief Deryn Rizzi, Mississauga Fire and Emergency Services spoke to the Community Risk Assessment recommendations and creation of the Master Fire Plan, the review of the Master Fire Plan standards, the process of selecting locations for five new fire stations and emergency response times.  Further, Chief Rizzi spoke to the Lakeview development location for Fire Station 128 and the area it would service.

David Ecclestone, Architect, +VG Architects spoke to the history and heritage attributes of Lakeview Golf Course and the protection of the landscape which is the primary heritage aspect.  Further, D. Ecclestone spoke to the review of the site and the approach to development that would be the least impactful to its heritage attributes.

Committee members and staff spoke to design of the fire station, the complexity of finding a suitable location, and future development in the area.

Committee members spoke in support of the designation of the McMaster House and noted the positive outcome from meetings with the condominium board and community.

Committee members spoke to the designation of the property and history of George Hunter as a founding member of the Canadian Heritage Photography Foundation and noted that the museums of Mississauga were able to salvage the collective works of George Hunter.

John Dunlop, Manager, Indigenous Relations, Heritage and Museums spoke to the designation of Dixie Presbyterian Church and potential plaque unveiling.  Further, J. Dunlop spoke to the two committee meetings in November with the November 26th meeting dedicated to the Streetsville Heritage Conservation District.
