Councillor Dasko inquired about the impact of booking fees on the sustainability of programs and M. Wood and M. Stevens responded.

Councillor Butt, Chair commented on the opportunity to improve coordination between Visit Mississauga, Arts funding and the Municipal Accommodation Tax to invest in organizations that promote tourism in Mississauga.

Councillor Fonseca inquired about other grant eligibility as a hybrid orchestra, industry standards related to wages, access to patron information, and opportunity to coordinate with Visit Mississauga; and Denis Mastromonaco, Mississauga Symphony Orchestra responded.

Anna Gulbinski, Executive Director, Art Gallery of Mississauga spoke to the Arts and Culture funding for the Art Gallery of Mississauga.

Councillor Fonseca inquired about the duplication of application information related to financial reporting and Kristina Zietsma, Director, Recreation & Culture responded noting future opportunities to align the culture grant process and community grant process.

Direction was given to Recreation and Culture staff to review improvements to the grant application process and report back at a future date.
